Krista Barnes PA-C, ATC
Krista Barnes PA-C, ATCKrista Barnes PA-C, ATC, is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Concordia University in 2023 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Eastern Michigan University, where she graduated in 2019.
Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Krista spent two years working as a certified athletic trainer, where she cared for post-operative patients as well as high school and competitive athletes. Through this experience, she developed a strong foundation in musculoskeletal medicine, manual therapy, and human movement, while gaining a deep appreciation for the physical and emotional challenges that can accompany injury and recovery.
Krista enjoys helping patients understand their diagnosis, navigate their treatment options, and regain the confidence to return to the activities they enjoy. She believes that every patient deserves individualized care and takes pride in building meaningful relationships with those she serves. By combining her background in athletic training with her advanced medical training, Krista works closely with patients to develop treatment plans that support both recovery and long-term wellness.
Whether caring for athletes, active individuals, or patients recovering from surgery, Krista is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and helping each person achieve their goals with confidence.
Outside of work, Krista enjoys staying active through martial arts, weightlifting, and running. As someone who values an active lifestyle, she understands firsthand the importance of movement, recovery, and returning to the activities that bring purpose and enjoyment to everyday life. She also loves baking and spending time traveling with her husband and son.
She is dedicated to helping every patient achieve their goals and return to the activities that matter most to them.
